RSS

As we discussed, RSS makes it easy for information to come to you, rather than you having to go out and look for information. However, often when you go out looking for information you also find other stories/facts. Does having information come to you (instead of going out and looking for it) mean that people are limiting themselves to only certain types of information? Could there be negative consequences to limiting yourself in this way?

  1. What this means is in some ways yes and in some ways no. For the ways of yes, because some websites do not give you an option of being able to blog, and that can get frustrated. And no,because some people well be satisfied with what the offer of websites that they get for blogging. Yes, there could be negative consequences because once again, you are limited, and do not have as many options

  2. I think that there are consequences to people not looking around. If all you ever do is have stuff come to you and never explore than its like never coming out of your cave. Especially lets say there a desees going on or a war starting, if tons of people are not sined up to like a news paper on line then they wont know tell they talk to some one that is sined up. I mean ther is school, for younger folks going on but for those that are more secluded its not so good even if you have a job. Plus if you explore i fined you always learn more.

  3. I think it is more along the lines of if you want to find it you will, if you don't care than your not going to find it. i guess if you go out to find it urself instead of letting it come to you you have the possibility of having a nice surprise of finding something you weren't looking for.
